WorldEvents teams battle it out in the It’s a knockout arena in a bid to raise funds for Overgate Hospice
Two teams of employees from the global events company, competed against each other and 3 other teams in an It’s a Knockout style competition. The day required strength, skill and stamina in order to manoeuvre the inflatables, dodge freezing cold water and scale foam covered slopes. Overgate Hospice, based in Elland, West Yorkshire, provides care for individuals with life threatening illnesses and their carers. The charity has been supported by WorldEvents over the past two years after the firm asked staff which local cause they would most like to support. Martin Parry, Managing Director of WorldEvents said: “We were delighted to participate in the event, helping Overgate to raise further funds. The money raised, brings WorldEvents fundraising throughout the year to over £5000. This is a fantastic effort by all of our staff and will provide the hospice with much needed funds to help them carry out their dedicated work. It was a fun day for all with many friends and relatives turning out to support the competitors.”

WorldEvents, a leading UK live events agency, provided two teams of budding athletes, from its head office, to take part in Overgate’s annual It’s a Knockout competition, helping to raise £2218.36 for the hospice.
